  1. 1997

    This was the year it all started!

    Unifique was founded in November, with the brand TPA – Timbó Provedor de Acesso (Timbó Access Provider) – and served only the city of Timbó/SC.

    The technology used at the time was dial-up internet, with access through the telephone line.

    The service began with only 1 employee, Fabiano Busnardo, nowadays CEO at Unifique.

  2. 2000

    Dial-up internet technology was already lagging behind. The first towers for internet service via radio were already under construction. This year we started to serve customers with internet technology via radio.
    The technology works through an antenna directed to a main link, and the signal is picked up by another antenna installed in the residence, this technology is still used in hard-to-reach places or indoors.

  3. 2006

    Always following the new technologies available on the market, this year, we started to build our own fiber-optic network. The beginning of the projects for cabling was in the city of Timbó and later in the cities of Rio do Sul and Ibirama.

  4. 2010

    Bringing much more practicality, quality of service for customers and even more utility for optical fiber, in 2010, we delivered the fixed-line telephony service.
    With the new service mode, it was enough to install the telephone device in the customer’s home to assemble the combo. The customer service became residential and business.

  5. 2013

    The optical fiber was growing stronger this year, and this led us to the expansion of the network. TPA went on to invest much more to continue expanding the FTTH (fiber to the home) network.
    This year, several cities in the valley already had internet service via fiber optics, fixed-line telephony and internet via radio.

  6. 2014

    We found the need to change the name and brand TPA. Timbó Access Provider no longer made sense, considering that at the time, the service extended to other cities in Santa Catarina.
    After several studies of branding, nomenclature and logo, we started to call ourselves Unifique.

  7. 2016

    In the tireless search to meet all the needs of our customers, we once again launched a new service: TV Unifique.
    From this date our customers began to count on internet combos, landline telephone and pay TV.
    Today, there are more than 100 channels with a la carte options and HD varieties.

  8. 2017

    We have reached 2.0!
    This year we celebrate 20 years. Once again we were sure that we were following the best path. This year we started the construction of the new headquarters in Timbó SC.
    With service of physical stores in several cities in SC, growing customer portfolio, physical and business customers, we were the young Unifique in the peak of its 20 years.

  9. 2018

    If 2017 was a year of celebrations, this year we had a lot of hard work! It marked the beginning of the construction of the Data Center.
    But that’s not all! It also had recognition and celebration, because Unifique was elected the Best Fixed Broadband in Santa Catarina by Anatel’s survey of satisfaction and perceived quality.

  10. 2019

    We launch the Data Center service. From this year, our customers have come to rely on even more virtualization!
    And another good surprise came in 2019, again we were elected by ANATEL’s satisfaction and Perceived Quality Survey, as the best fixed broadband, but this time, Unifique was the best in Brazil!

  11. 2020

    In 2020, for the second time, we were elected as The Best Fixed Broadband in Brazil, according to Anatel’s Survey of Satisfaction and Perceived Quality, but this time we managed to achieve even more! We were also elected as the Best Fixed-line Telephony in Brazil.

  12. 2021

    Unifique’s fiber optic broadband network reaches more cities with the start of our expansion into the state of Rio Grande do Sul. In 2021, we were the first Brazilian company to implement XGS PON technology, providing our customers with the best experience with 2 Gigabyte speed plans. This year has been full of emotions and historic moments for Unifique. We began a significant chapter on our history by going public on the Stock Exchange with a 100% primary offering. In addition, we won the 5G frequency auction conducted by the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL), allowing the company to provide Mobile Service to customers in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

  13. 2022

    In 2022, Unifique reached significant milestones in its trajectory. The creation of the Innovation and Digital Transformation Department reflects the company’s commitment to the cutting edge of technology. Another major achievement was obtaining the Zero Waste Certification, reinforcing Unifique’s commitment to responsible environmental practices. In addition, Unifique was voted the best fixed broadband in southern Brazil in 2022, according to the Satisfaction and Perceived Quality Survey by Anatel, the National Telecommunications Agency. The year also marked the company’s 25th anniversary, highlighting its resilience and success in the telecommunications sector.

  14. 2023

    Unifique diversifies its portfolio with services such as security cameras, telemedicine, insurance and investments, in response to market demands. It creates the Communications and Marketing Department, with a focus on generating value for the brand. In partnership with Sebrae, Bossanova and Raja Ventures, Unifique led the investment of BRL11 million in the third edition of the INOVA acceleration program, benefiting up to 20 startups to promote the development and maturing of Brazilian businesses. Unifique starts its Mobile Service activities in the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul and launches 5G mobile telephony in Garuva-SC, becoming the first city with its own coverage of this technology. The company will expand its 4G and 5G infrastructure to the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, demonstrating the company’s commitment to innovation and technologies in telecommunications.
